Mario E. Abdennour, D.M.D. ,M.M.Sc Dr. Mario Abdennour is a microscope trained endodontist that specializes in conventional root canal therapy, endodontic re-treatment as well as surgical endodontics.
Dr. Abdennour is a graduate of the
Intercontinental University School of Dentistry’ 85 and Washington
University School of Dental Medicine where he received the Doctor of
Dental Medicine degree in 1989. He was given the “outstanding clinical
ability” award. Following his dental degree, he attended a postgraduate
general practice residency at a U.S.C. affiliated hospital in California.
He practiced dentistry in California for a total of eight years. Dr
Abdennour completed a three year Advanced Graduate Endodontic Program at
Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, receiving his Specialty
certificate in Endodontics as well as a Master in Medical Sciences in Oral
Biology. During his specialty
program he also trained in Surgical Endodontics at the Karl Franz
University Hospital in Austria. Upon graduation from Harvard, he was the
class recipient of the Krakow award for clinical proficiency in
Endodontics. Dr. Abdennour also conducted endodontic research at the
Forsyth Dental institute in Boston contributing to the patent (USPTO) of
an endodontic therapeutic agent. This research was sponsored by the Krakow
Endodontic Fund. For the last sixteen
years, Dr. Abdennour has held a faculty appointment as a clinical
instructor at the Advanced Graduate Endodontic Program at Harvard School
of Dental Medicine where he teaches on a part time basis, surgical and
non-surgical Endodontics. He also lectures Harvard Dental students
annually as well as local components of State Dental Societies in the
areas of Endodontic Surgery and Non-Vital Intracoronal Bleaching.
Presentations also include live endodontic surgery at the Endodontic
Program of the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. As a faculty member of
Real World Endo’s Board of Advisors, Dr. Abdennour conducts lectures and
seminars in English, French and Spanish in the United States, Canada and
the caribbean on Precision-Based Endodontics.
Memberships include the
American Association of Endodontists, Massachusetts Association of
Endodontists, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society,
Harvard Odontological Society and the American Academy of Dental Sciences. |
